Boy Scout Troop 21 Overnighter & Clean-Up Day

Mock Glock Competition Match
We are planning another Mock Glock Match for Sunday, March 14th starting at 10:00am. This will be open to nonmembers as well. We remind you to please have your guns properly bagged or in a gun rug. Do not handle your guns at any time until you are on the firing line and instructed to do so by the Range Safety Officer. For more information about our Mock Glock Matches, please follow the link at the lower left of the page menu. We will shoot as long as time allows so you do not all have to be there at 10:00am. THE RANGE WILL BE CLOSED FOR OPEN SHOOTING DURING THIS EVENT

Midvalley Defensive Shooters IDPA Match We found out key members crucial to running our match will not be available !! THE IDPA MATCH has been CANCELED !!
BUT!!!Midvalley Defensive Shooters will hold a Classifier instead on Saturday, March 20 at 9:00AM. Classifiers take time to complete. We will get as many people run through as possible if we have a large turn out. AGAIN, this is a Classifier. The normal match as been canceled.

Month of March Trap Shoot
Saturday, March 13th and Saturday, March 27, 9:00am - 1:pm. Dinnie will be holding his monthly Trap shoot. The fee is $4.00 a round consisting of 25 clays. Women and those under 18 years of age shoot free. Guns and ammo are not supplied. You DO NOT have to be a range member for these trap events, families with children are encouraged to attend. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and everyone will be required to sign a release waiver. For safety purposes, please have your shotguns UNLOADED and in a gun case or rug. If you don't have a case, please have them broke open or have the breach back when walking across the range to the trap area.

Muzzleloader “Fort Shoot”
Saturday, March 27th. The "Fort Shoot" is a 3 man team event that is timed. This event is open to the public. Cost is $5 per shooter and half of the purse will go to the winning team. Shooters can bring their team or come out alone and team up with others. Set-up is at 8:00am and shooting starts at 9:00am. For information, email .

WANTED!! “RIVER OAKS REGULATORS”
Duane Young our range president is looking to start up a Cowboy Action Shooting venue under the name “River Oaks Regulators”. If you have an interest in possibly getting this new club started. Email for info.
Safety First Shooting Association (SFSA) operates River Oaks Range located on private property in Winton, California around Merced, Atwater and Turlock.
Though membership is required to shoot at River Oaks during regular hours, numerous activities and “shoots” held at the range are open to the public.
The following events and classes afford many first-time and experienced shooters a friendly, safe place to enjoy the shooting sports: Jakes Youth Day, Living History Rendezvous, IDPA style events, Merced County CCW live-fire qualification, various women’s shoots, a planned postal shoot in conjunction with the VFW this fall, and NRA Certified instruction in pistol, rifle, shotgun, home firearms safety and the NRA “Refuse to be a Victim” course.
